I had booked a garden view room. It had its own courtyard area. The room was gorgeous and had a well stocked minibar, a coffee machine and plenty of bottled water that was replaced regularly. The bathroom was up two steps so wouldn't be suitable for someone with mobility issues. The bathroom had plenty of towels, beautiful robes and complimentary toiletries. There was also an ironing board, iron and safe. The shower was very power and there was no shortage of hot water. There were two cocktail bars one being by the pool. I enjoyed a couple of cocktails in the one in the courtyard. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff were wonderful and I was well looked after both at breakfast and dinner. The food was very tasty and there was a good selection of dishes to choose from. Breakfast was a buffet offering both local and European dishes. I noticed they offered Kombucha and Yakult at breakfast for those guests who may have had stomach issues which I thought was a great idea. The swimming pool was a good size and clean. The gardens were well maintained and I saw staff walking dogs in the early morning and early evening. I would have liked a couple nights more at the hotel but unfortunately my schedule didn't allow it. Highly recommend a stay here and would stay here again

The website and pictures simply do not do this place justice. The stunning historic property sits just outside the chaos of Jaipur's old city but conveniently central to all sightseeing. It's impecabbly preserved but with all of the modern upgrades (great water pressure in the shower, booming air conditioning). My room was HUGE with great high threadcount sheets and fluffy pillows. But the real star of the show is the larger property itself. After three days, I was still discovering little reading nooks, places to lounge, design details. We visited another MUCH more expensive hotel for lunch and it felt truly soulless in comparison to Samode. I was so thankful we chose this hotel. Truly charming. They also do a great job of helping to match you with the right activities, seamlessly arranging drivers and guides on the fly. It was nice to not have to plan too much in advance and be able to change up our schedule as we went. The vibe at dinner -- the live music, the lights twinkling beneath the ancient banyan tree, the incredible thali, just all around magical.

We liked everything: Our Deluxe suite was nicely decorated, very clean with comfortable bed, a little terrace with garden view. The first room assigned to us was not of our 100% taste, but the supervising manager “saved” the situation and found a wonderful room for us. Thank you again! The hotel’s staff was very nice and accommodating. The welcome drink was a nice addition to this welcoming hotel. The location is perfect to explore the Jaipur. The wonderful outside pool ment a welcoming refreshment after a long sightseeing day. We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. Its breakfast buffet offers a good selection of Indian and Western food. On top you could order à la carte dishes and eggs that were included in the breakfast price. Our dinner à la carte was always delicious. To make long story short. If we ever go to Jaipur again (I hope so) Samode Halveti would be again our choice.

Rooms were big and the traditional feel of the hotel felt very in keeping with the wonderful old city location. We had rooms 126 (a really lovely twin (or king room) with a bath and shower and walk in wardrobe area ) and 111 which was a duplex suite. This room had a single bed downstairs with a bathroom for our son and a king bed and bathroom upstairs. Mr Rajesh, the concierge, is very helpful and where can will book drivers, expeditions etc. The grounds are lovely and the pool was much needed in the hot weather. Some of the best food we have tasted in Jaipur. A lovely buffet selection with hot orders for eggs etc for breakfast, and a delicious a la carte lunch and dinner menu.

This is a very beautiful building, with lovely courtyards, courteous staff, and an elegant vibe. We were in an ENORMOUS and gorgeous room with a balcony. You could feel that we were in an old palace with it's thick walls, archways, and niches. The restaurant served very tasty food. After a week of eating Indian food, I was happy to have a nice pasta here. We enjoyed taking the guided morning walk to the flower and vegetable markets, the Hindu temple, and the street food vendors, that was recommended by the hotel.
